ABOUT Jay
Jay was born and raised in Abbotsford alongside his family’s farm operation, KBF Farms. KBF
Farms is a family owned and operated agribusiness since 1980 growing fresh berries, produce,
and nursery stock which is distributed throughout Canada. Jay and his father currently operate
the blueberry division.
As a third-generation farmer, Jay understood the need for diversifying roles within the business.
After completing his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at the University of the Fraser
Valley, he gained valuable experience in Estate Planning at Sun Life Financial and Mortgage
Lending at the Royal Bank of Canada.
With a background in agriculture, education in business management, and experience in the
financial industry — Jay found his natural fit at Farms In BC Real Estate Group in 2021.
